GIVING THAT KNOWS NO BOUND
Ps. Samuel Adu Gyamfi (Atebubu Area Youth Leader)
Pastor Samuel Adu Gyamfi, the Atebubu Area Youth Leader, delivered a stirring revelation on giving that moved the congregation deeply. He openly declared that while human philosophy teaches that acquiring much comes from saving, the Kingdom of God teaches that the greatest investment is through giving. He reminded believers that their blessing does not depend on their own ability, but on Jesus, the One who owns it all.
Preaching on the theme “Giving That Knows No Bound,” Pastor Adu Gyamfi described this kind of giving as one that flows from a heart transformed by grace. He likened giving to sowing a seed. The amount one plants determines the harvest received. Just as farmers sow into fertile soil with the expectation of growth, the presence of the Lord and the house of God forms the most fertile grounds for sowing seeds. Establishing this truth, he added that giving must not be guided by calculations or limited by expectation. Citing 2 Corinthians 9:6, he encouraged believers to give radically, not sparingly trusting that God will secure them.
Drawing on biblical examples, he mentioned God, who gave His only Son to a world that did not deserve Him (John 3:16). He referenced the widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:7–14) and the poor widow in Mark 12:41, women who, despite their boundaries as poor, as widows, gave beyond their ability. He also highlighted the Macedonian believers (2 Corinthians 8:1–3), who gave generously even in hardship. Pastor Samuel emphasized that in God’s economy, the measure of a gift is not by its size but by the cost of the giver.
In bringing the message to a close, Pastor Adu Gyamfi noted that believers must give without bounds because they imitate their Father (Eph 5:1), because giving breaks the spirit of Mammon (spirit of greed, hoard etc.) and because giving unleashes God’s Kingdom on earth, (2 Corith 9:8).
Pastor Adu Gyamfi’s message serves as a reminder that God rewards cheerful givers and that those who sow bountifully will indeed reap bountifully.
