PREPARE TO MEET YOUR MASTER (JESUS CHRIST)

Dcn. Fredrick Nelson Kofi Impraim (Vice President)

Deacon Nelson Impraim, the Vice President of PENSA-PU, delivered a message that pierced through routine and stirred the soul on the theme, ‘Prepare to meet your Master’. This was a call to accountability and a challenge to every believer to examine their walk with Christ.

Dcn. Nelson began with a profound statement that set the tone for the entire message:  “The Master will return, and He will take reports.”

This declaration, drawn from the parable in Matthew 25:14-30, reminded the congregation that every gift, every talent, every opportunity entrusted to us by God is not without expectation. We are stewards, not owners. And stewardship demands responsibility.

He emphasized that the Master demands the same measure He gave without excuses. If God gave you five talents, He expects you to manage five more. If He gave you influence, He expects impact. If He gave you grace, He expects growth. He spoke with conviction about the wise use of resources, urging the church to use it’s gifts not for self glorification but for service. “Help others with it”, he said, “because your gift is not just for you, it’s for the body of Christ.”  This was a gentle rebuke to selfishness and a powerful invitation to generosity.

He warned soberly that if you are not using your gift for anything, you will still give account for it. The unwise servant who buried his talent was not spared, and neither will we be if we neglect what God has deposited in us. He clearly stated, ‘Don’t be like the unwise servant.’

One of the most striking moments came when he cautioned against unscrupulous acts. “On the day of accountability,” he said, “you will be destroyed if you’ve lived in deceit”. The judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) will not be swayed by charisma or cleverness, but by truth.

He called the church to serve God well in every way that honors the One who gave them life. “You have today to work out your salvation,” he declared, “and the day of judgment to render account.”

As the message drew to a close, Dcn. Nelson asked the question that lingered in every heart, “Where will you be?” Not physically, but spiritually. Not geographically, but eternally. It was a question that demanded reflection, repentance, and redirection.

He ended with a beautiful reminder:

“Meeting Christ is the ultimate goal of Christians. It’s not about perfection, but about striving to be like Him.”
